In recent years, social media has become more than a place to share random pictures of friends and family. It has evolved to become something more; a powerful marketing tool. Who would have thought?! With millions of users, products and services are right in front of potential customer’s faces, and every business wants a piece of this pie. You should too. “Why?” You may ask. Well, let’s get to business and give you reasons why.

Thousands of brands sell the same products and services today; online and physically, but maintaining an online presence that is both intense and deliberate gives you an edge over someone that has none. Social media equally gives you a chance to tell your story and inspire your audience through your past failures and successes; this makes them connect with you on a more personal level.

Social media does not only give you an online presence and brand awareness, it enables you interact with your customers on a personal level. People love to be seen and heard. They like it when someone shows concern for their needs and the pains they share, and the fact is people talk about all of these online; in their tweets, Facebook posts, TikTok videos and many other forums. When your brand gets involved in these conversations, customers view it as approachable, responsible and available. Additionally, with features like ‘direct messaging’, customers can easily reach you. When you engage your audience regularly, it becomes easier to turn a potential customer to a regular and loyal customer.

With the aid of social media, you can attract the right customers with the right information at the right time. With social media, you do not need to waste resources on people who are not your target audience. It takes people who are interested in what you do to start following you. For instance, on LinkedIn, let’s assume you make a post about a training you’re offering or something similar, you can be sure they will be willing to slide in because they are already interested in your brand and what it entails.

4. Consumer Information

With social media, you can tell what your consumer’s habits, needs, interests and pain-points are by what they share. This way, you are able to channel and improve your product or service smartly to meet these needs.

5. Reduced advertising cost

When compared to the conventional methods of advertising, social media advertising does not require so much money. Using social media to market products and services is an efficient way of to reduce a company's operational costs. With an internet connection and computers, a company can minimize its marketing costs by a significant margin. The costs are considerably reduced as more people can be reached with the same monthly budget.

Last year, about $380 Billion was spent on online advertising by brands all over the world. Up to $150 Billion of that money did not generate the desired result for the brands that paid for them. That’s a lot of money spent without returns.

We asked ourselves, “what can we do to reduce this money being wasted on adverts without results?”

A lot of things came to our minds, at least 20 solutions. But can we really offer all those 20 solutions from day 1?  No.

So we said, “even though we will work on all the solutions to reduce this money being wasted on advertising, we can start with 3 things and then extend to other things.”

1. If people learn how to market better, they will waste less money - a lot of people waste their advert budget because they have no knowledge about how best to allocate it to get results. So we thought, “let’s start from here; let people be able to enrol into our world-class trainings that can teach them practical ways to be more effective with their adverts”.

2. If people can find trusted experts to market for them, they will waste less money - Some people don’t really want to learn to market by themselves, they just need a good, reliable, trustworthy person that won’t rip them  off and knows their onions. We said, “if we can help clients find those people by screening them and being sure of their proven abilities, then we can make advertising more efficient.”

3. If people can find experts to advise them, they will waste less money - Some people just need a one-hour call with an expert to get super clarity on their marketing strategy. Some may just want an expert to spend some time with their marketing team, and we know this will help reduce advert spend waste.

But that’s not all. There are many more things we are working on; because to be able to achieve our goal of reducing advert spend inefficiency, we need to consider several factors as it is not a one-size-fits-all operation. We are aware of this and are working on it at Stanbuzz.
